The annual herb Trigonella foenum-graecum protects its seed in 4-6 inch pods. Has a taste of burnt sugar and maple. Use in salads, hearty soups, stews, rice, chutneys and spice blends. A common ingredient in curry powder. Rich in proteins, minerals and vitamins.
